celebrate good times (COME ON)

Last weekend my family and I road-tripped to the lovely waters of White River, Arkansas. What could possibly inspire us to spend 8 hours on the (incredibly bumpy and horribly paved) roads, you might ask? Nothing short of three monumental birthdays that of course would result in trout fishing for days!  Father's 50th and Gran and Grandaddy's 75th brought us to the cutest little cabin in the world where we ate 4th of July cookies (it's never too late, right?), listened to bluegrass music, and lounged by the ridiculously cold river.  Fishing with my grandfather was the absolutely most wonderful thing in the world, especially since I know how much he adores it. Sometimes doing something someone loves is more fun than doing something that YOU love.

The day started out intensely foggy,
which actually meant it was intensely
beautiful.

notable moments
            (of the month...)

Just a few quick snapshots to represent the most recent days of summertime!

The adorable Jonah turning hipster at an alarmingly young age

Marmee in NOLA, during a fantastic "get away from
Trussville" trip

A freshly made banner to celebrate a sunny
Saturday or anything else special that could
ever possibly happen

Chocolate chip cookie dough dip and my new striped straws
that I think I may love more than anything I've ever owned

Ridiculously long lasting lip stain and a blue jean tank
that both make me feel very summery and sassy

My favorite older sister who finally came home after a month
in Honduras. If you can't tell, she actually morphed into a
Mexican.

How most of my mornings are spent

Celebrating the happy happy birthday of America with my
best, and drinking out of our striped straws because duh
